Behavior Modification:
Equine Rehabilitation
This is the process in which to change an unwanted behavior into a calm and
collective state of mind for your equine companion. My techniques use no pain
reinforcement and are influenced from the natural horsemanship training (Herd
and Pack Mentality). I will help you become your animal’s best friend, help
them to gain confidence in themselves and strengthen the relationship between
you. I will help you fulfill the needs of man’s best friends.
After getting my first horse “Summer” I spent a lot of time searching for
the right trainers to help solve some of her behavior issues, without any
success. I have seen many trainers use pain and fatigue to solve their
training problems. There had to be another way. A friend introduced me to a
training technique I had never heard of before. I have studied natural
horsemanship ever since. I have recently worked with one of the world’s most
respected horse behaviorist, John Lyons. The knowledge I have been given has
changed my relationship entirely with my horse. We are partners in work and
play and have a bond that is unbreakable. Understanding horses better and how
they respond to the world has helped me solve my own problems.
These training methods will help anyone who wants a stronger
relationship and better understanding of their horses companions.
My training techniques address the following behavior issues and
relationship problems.
1. Anxiety.
2. Shyness
and fearfulness.
3. Aggressive
outbursts toward people and other animals.
4. Control
issues.
5. Special
needs.
In order for this process to be successful, you must:
1. Understand
that there are no BAD horses!
2. Be
willing to learn and keep an open mind to change.
3. Realize
that making excuses is the path to failure in your training and your
animal’s rehabilitation.
4. Make
time for training a priority.
5. Realize
that using bribery is not a solution.
6. Remember
that you will always be in training.
What you can expect from my training program with your commitment to
improvement.
1. A
stronger and more peaceful relationship with your animal(s).
2. Control
of, and respect from, your animal(s).
3. Your
animal's developing an understanding of what is expected of them.
4. Increased
willingness of your animal(s) to please you.
Each owner/animal relationship is different. The need for my assistance will
