I started working for Animal Friends of Wilmington in the spring of 2007. Jared showed me what I would have to do and I fell in love with the company, I told Jared I almost would work for free because the love and kisses you get from the animals was far greater than the pay. I was taught how to look for signs if one of my animals had special needs care and needed medication, shot for diabetes, heart failure, or even seizures. I even love making them feel OK if one of them has an accident on the floor. When Jared came home from a trip to Colorado , he told me that he was thinking about selling the business. I asked him what he wanted, he told me, and I said I guess you need to write the contract. I knew that this company was for me. I came home and told my husband that I was going to buy the company. Timmy told me to go for it. Well, I did buy the company and all the kisses and hugs and purrs you can image came with it. This company, and the company that I keep, are the best in the world. I always tell my customers that while they are away their animals are my animals and that is the way that I treat them.

Mark

Mark is from Charolotte, NC. He helped his dad raise Dobermans and Collies. Mark has two Terrier mix dogs plus two cats of his own. He loves working with animals. According to Mark, this is his best job yet! He is a great asset to this company.
