My husband and I moved to Wilmington a little over a year ago with our three dogs and cat. We moved from Alabama and all of our family and friends. When the holidays came, we weren't sure what to do about the doggies. Packing two boxers and a husky seemed a little crowded. We tried boarding once, but found it costly and the dogs were unhappy.
Then we found Animal Friends of Wilmington. Animal Friends was a great addition to our family...literally. They always came through when we needed them and they genuinely care about the dogs, especially the husky, Natasha, who has trouble with new people and places. This past July, my husband's father passed away and we had to make an unexpected trip to Alabama. Animal Friends was a phone call away and had no problem taking care of the dogs. Animal Friends even sent us a sympathy card! We can't even begin to express how much we appreciate this organization!
Sincerely,
Earl and Lisa Johnson

Katrina
and Ophelia were rescued from a terrible situation in
Greensboro
during the late summer of Hurricanes Katrina and Ophelia, hence their
names. Appropriately enough, they love water!
Animal Friends lets them play in the kitchen sink while he is visiting,
and they love that. When we return home, they are contented and healthy.
We travel in peace knowing the girls are being more than just
fed!
Thank
you, Animal Friends of Wilmington, for making us all feel secure and
cared for.
