Katrina and Ophelia were rescued from a terrible situation in Greensboro during the late summer of Hurricanes Katrina and Ophelia, hence their names. Appropriately enough, they love water!  Jared lets them play in the kitchen sink while he is visiting, and they love that. When we return home, they are contented and healthy.  We travel in peace knowing the girls are being more than just fed!

My husband and I moved to Wilmington a little over a year ago with our three dogs and cat.  We moved from Alabama and all of our family and friends.  When the holidays came, we weren't sure what to do about the doggies.  Packing two boxers and a husky seemed a little crowded.  We tried boarding once, but found it costly and the dogs were unhappy.

Then we found Animal Friends of Wilmington.  Michele was a great addition to our family...literally.  She always comes through when we need her and she genuinely cares about the dogs, especially the husky, Natasha, who has trouble with new people and places.  This past July, my husband's father passed away and we had to make an unexpected trip to Alabama.  Michele was a phone call away and had no problem taking care of the dogs.  Animal Friends even sent us a sympathy card!  We can't even begin to express how much we appreciate this organization and Michele!

Dear Jared,

From June 2 through June 9, Michele came to my apartment twice daily to care for my cat, Suzanne.  I am writing to let you know what an outstanding job she did, and how pleased I am to have found Animal Friends.  I tried another cat-sitter in Wilmington last year and was extremely disappointed.  Rather than go over the negatives of the past, let me say something positive  about Michele.  When I met her, I found her to be forthright, down-to-earth, and likeable.  Of course, Suzanne thought so too. :-)  Because of past experiences, I had some anxiety when I left on my trip, but was able to keep in touch with Michele by phone.  She went above and beyond what I expected in every way.  When I returned home this morning, Suzanne was beautifully groomed, well-fed, and in a good mood.  The litter box was clean, the garbage emptied, and the apartment smelled and looked fresh.  I was absolutely thrilled.  If you like, please post this on your website as I would like to let people know Animal Friends is the very best there is for taking care of your pet.  Heartfelt thanks from me, and a contented purr from Suzanne...
